OK people, don't rip on a religion just because your not familiar with it.

You might sit in your house thinking "Not eating for 70 years? Insane! That is ridiculous!" but some people might think the same thing about YOUR religion.. "Rising from the DEAD? The son of GOD? Ridiculous!"

Not trying to get this thread closed, but just saying, respect other religion.. just because you don't understand it doesn't make it "retarded" or "insane"

Thanks but if you would have read the last page or two of the thread we are just stating opinions now without ripping on the religion so lets just drop it. Anyone else!? Think this guy is telling the truth or just looking for attention?!

simply not possible. extreme meditation and focus can do some amazing things. But no amount of ether can allow you to go that long without food or water. especially water. Cell reproduction would stop. Once that stops you die. Without water to aid in cell division, and growth. His blood would be to thick, hemoglobine would stop being produced and he would go hypoxic. Even if that didnt happen his stomach would start to degrade in a little over 2 weeks. because the cells couldnt divide and replace the warn out cells causing massive internal bleeds. Cool story but completly fake

I don't support ripping on religions but with not eating for 70 years its not so much crazy as impossible(other religions claim the impossible too, but lets focus on the claim in question not the religion).

but hey if its true and he has found some sort of special enlightenment I would convert in a instance.

You and I think very differently about this. There is scientific and religious explanation for this, that do not have to be mutually exclusive. I don't believe him to be "crazy", but rather incredibly different than me. I think its very interesting, and would love to understand it from both the physiological and anthropological perspective.

that was a favorable devil advocates post, much like yours is.

Law of attraction.

Quantum space

Mind body and spirit.

Nothing is ever a waste. All of it is energy and positives can come from anything that has strong enough belief, though some of the concepts and stipulates people come up with is crazy. Such as people thinking earthquakes are caused by infidelity....

Also like people going to church on sunday, you don't need to go to church. Also prayer is just a group of people giving good positive thoughts for things to happen. No "god" is doing it for you, its you! "gods" are only a safety blanket on peoples minds. With a little belief and positive energy, the unthinkable is possible. A higher energy is plausible, but not as we think, every religion is the same if you boil it down to the big picture.

So maybe wearing a towel around your head is a little crazy when you can reach the same benefit using another less extreme technique. I believe do what ever works for you, but sometimes these people are crazy because they are so self ignorant to other peoples views that they miss something that could be very valuable to them.

Nvm maybe your not.

Absolutely, there is no way someone can go without food and water for more than a couple for weeks. I just wonder why MSNBC would report on such a rediculios claim??! sound like something that should be in the inquire magazine right next to the "man gives birth to ape" story....

BOLLOCKS!!!!!!!

totally agree with tttt! im not religious at all ( i use to be and still believe in God but just dont go to church tho ) but 70 years of no food or water. how can we prove the guy wrong? he already showed us he can go a week and a half at the hospital..

not trying to be racist or anything but the "test" was done in india. Im going to school for medicine and Ive read a few case studies and reports from some of theyre so called experts and some of it is just amazing. And not in a good way. Just saying It was done by the countries government who could very well be protecting the claims of they're official religion. Not saying its just that religion or country!! so dont call me a racist. I just wouldnt believe a word of it unless he was put under observation in a US, or European hospital.

Honestly I could care less what spectrum such a claim comes from, anyone who makes such a ludicrous claim needs to take some meds.

It is totally impossible beyond a shadow of a doubt for the human body to go that long let alone 30 days without any water.

I bet if you put some of your nice food in front of him, he would eat!:headbang2
