Patience is the key to Craigslist. Have money in hand, watch and wait. Right now, I got laid off(big surprise in this economy!) so I have to justify every penny spent, I see deals and my MTS is killing me. I know I'm torturing myself, but I can't quit looking...
I managed to find a 100 gallon Pemco metal frame tank with stand, original hood, filters and all, the guy was trading it for a 55 gallon tank only... Unfortunately I couldn't get to his house in time to make the trade. Sometimes the deals that get away are enough to make you want to cry.

I swear... most people on there don't really want to sell anything. At least you woudl think that when they are rude as hell online or through the phone.
Apparently, asking questions about what they are selling pisses them off a lot of times for some freaking reason.
yeah there are lots of ridiculous sales on CL but every onece in a while you find a good one like the free 540 i got or the $100 135, i have seen dumb ads tho like 20 gallons for $200 or the guy that wants a boat preferably with a cuddy cabin, for his 90 gallon
If you take your time you will find some gems. 150 with lights, stand, sump, canister and other stuff for 150, went and sold the fancy ballast for 80. Cant complain much, just have to put your time in.
