man made short body silver aros

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I would take one (the pointy tail version not the one with the tail cut off). Except I wouldn't spend $600 on a fish. It is for people that want an arrowana but don't have room for 1000 gallon tank. I am all for miniaturizing fish, I am completely again morphs that cause issues for the fish (blood parrots, some fancy goldfish) or any animal.

Similar to dogs. I am all for people who like the looks of dobermans but cant have or don't want such a big dog they get min pins or pugs instead of mastiffs. but I am against breeding bulldogs with noses scrunched in so much they cant breath or "low rider" pits who have legs so bowed they can barely walk. As long as the specific trait bread for doesn't cause harm to the animal I am for it.

Did you click the link? Its a baby arowana cut in half and healed. It isnt a true short body they just cut half the body off the fish. Dont get me wrong I see the appeal for SB fish like aro and rtc, but this is just wrong.

Where do you see a fish that was cut in half?

Haha, your joking right? These are in no way cut in half and then healed. What in any way does this make you think that is what is happening let alone possible in anyway. sorry bro just breed short bodies.

Its a very weird concept if you ask me , have they tried to do the same as docking a dogs tail but on a fish ? :screwy:

I believe they are cut. I saw a website from some Asian country showing step by step how to cut up fish like that. I couldn't read it but had plenty of pictures.

Look at the body of the fish. It ends halfway through the dorsal fin. A genetic mutated short body has all the parts. This doesnt. I know its shocking but I would bet anything they simply took a baby aro and cut off its back half and healed it for 2 months. I read a long article on "love parrots" which is a blood parrot they remove the tail(not just fin) and when healed the 2 fins and round shape resemble a heart

When I get to a desktop ill find more info on this but heres a pic of a "love parrot"stock-photo-red-blood-love-parrots-fish-149262656.jpg
