Managuense growth and progress

The jag hiding in the cave on the left side is from Petland Discounts and the smaller one on the right side of the divider is from thatpetplace.com.

Good luck with them. Why are they divided already? Are jags that aggressive at such a small size?
I'm considering trying to grow one out in my 120G one day, do you think it's a big enough tank?

thanks dude. I took the divider down for a day and the bigger one was relentlessly territorial, I didn’t like what I saw so I put the divider back up. I’ll post a video of him slamming into the divider to get to the little one, he doesn’t play games lol. your 120 gal should be good for a few years assuming you keep the tank clean and good filtration.
I’m not too sure but it looks male to me. Don’t take my word for it tho because I’ve never had a Jaguar before. There are many other members on this site that know Better than me.
Either way he/she looks amazing!
Hopefully others will chime in, thanks though. His/her color is very copperish, I think the omega one cichlid color pellets actually make a difference.
Ive had a ton of Jags, and although I can't be 100% certain, I'd say its a male based off the lack of the black splotches down the lateral line. I would bet on it.
I have had Jaguars in the past, and have one currently that is by far different then any I’ve ever owned or seen... ours does not grow, it stays around 3”... had it about 6 months. It’s also pitch black with very little blotching. He sometimes will get pale, based on his mood. I’m thinking he’s not 200% managuense. If anybody has any ideas, We’d surely appreciate it.
