Managuense growth and progress

I have had Jaguars in the past, and have one currently that is by far different then any I’ve ever owned or seen... ours does not grow, it stays around 3”... had it about 6 months. It’s also pitch black with very little blotching. He sometimes will get pale, based on his mood. I’m thinking he’s not 200% managuense. If anybody has any ideas, We’d surely appreciate it.

I literally just took this picture, so right now he’s pale. I’ll wait until he gets black and post another one. When he’s neutral he will have mild jaguar blotching in his gills, but at 6 months, no growth at all... maintains 3” we bought our dovii at the same time and he’s huge compared to him.

Two more pics of it getting dark and some of the noticeable jaguar blotching. I’ve had some huge jags, which makes me think this guy is crossed with possibly a dwarf species... I honestly don’t know

do to its pattern I would say male also. Would also be the more aggressive one? as he gets bigger his fins will lose the round off and get pointy with a trailer. fins being the dorsal and vent.
