Managuense R they Male and Female??

When they get around 5"-6" the females usually develope a rounder shape and the males keep a flat belly. Pattern is 80/20??? Usually if they sport a mazey pelt vs a broken lateral pattern than you have a boy. Stressed mannies are harder to sex. Usually longer fins are a good indication as well. Dig. Good luck! Rad fish!
You can sex them between 2-3 inches. If I had to take an educated guess, I would say the pictures you posted are both female.

its hard to argue with aquamojo so i would go with what he said.
I found that (at least where i got my jags) his were very easily distinguishable at about 3". the Males were all purple under the spots while the females were much lighter almost pearly white.

up date on status of ugly Mag. he/she is no longer ugly. i have sperated them an he/she is doing amazing. super happy face
