Pumice floats on water.

Anyway, amazing pair of Jags you've got Toni! I don't think I've seen any normal Jag with that much gold. Congrats on the spawn!

It does not float in my sump...lol

SOME pumice floats until it is water logged......

It looks very nice in the OP's tank, as to explain how all this pumice talk is not derail..Super hot, I might try it!:D

Oh I see lol. But still, that red substrate in the OP's tank isn't pumice. It's what they call "Lava Rock" - porous and light just like pumice, but always sinks in water right away.

I know pumice is a type of solidified lava, pal. I meant that the substrate the OP is using is not pumice, and that its trade name is "Lava Rock", hence the apostrophe's.

There are many different types of lava rock, because there are different types of lava. Different lava types solidify to form different rocks. Lava rock does not necessarily mean pumice.

OK....."pal"...Pumice is a textural term....When lava effervesces, it produces pumice...Lava produces four types of rocks....PUMICE...obsidian, rhyolite, and scoria....Pumice can be all different colors, but the texture is how it is clasified...The chemistry means nothing....

You are correct that the rock in the tank is lava rock...But the type is pumice....Try to act with a bit more class and tact when you debate...Defeat feels/looks better that way...See you around pal...;)

I don't see in what way I wasn't tactful. Try not to leave so many fullstops after each of your sentences - it gives the impression that you're uncertain.
