So,what kind of pond are you contemplating, traditional in ground or above ground?

Above 12 foot clear front(glass or acrylic)... thing is at the moment I'm flat out setting up tanks again. And now starting the process of building a fish house. Ball is going to start to roll soon! But I got a lot hap again regarding my fish etc.. bro would you mind if we pick this conversation up when I get back as I'm driving at the min. I don't want you to think I'm being rude not replying while I drive..

Pretty rarely seen fish in the hobby. Are you keeping it in fresh?

kno4te kno4te are you sure what we are catching here is the same species? They are pretty fish but usually the ones I get by cast net are maroon-red and gray. I need to photograph them next time I get them.

I take that back. They are different. The ones in Florida are mangrove snapper and the these are mangrove red snapper.

Sorry to DannyDovii DannyDovii as yea these are true freshwater and a different location. Not the ones in Florida. The ones here are lutjenes grises.

I'm getting old forgive me lol.

I vaguely recall someone else pointing out the difference in the species in another thread.

Also, must mention, of course, that Wesley Wong has brought the argentimaculatus a few times already and offered for sale over the last 2-3 years. I think he said that eventually these guys would need brackish at least, if not marine, but I may recall in error.
