They do grow to a large size so that tank would make for a grow out tank. The bigger they get the nastier they can be.They have visible teeth which can do a good bit of damage to other fish.
in a 72x30x36 (LxWxH) sized tank you can grow one out and house a single mangrove jack
for a good amount of time but will need to upgrade eventually down the road as they get 4'+
in the wild. minimum sized tank for a single adult specimen is 96x48x24 and of course bigger
is better. mangrove jacks make awesome solo wet pets with great personality and canines
to show & beautiful colors that often change by its mood or water quality is also a interesting
phase to watch. also you dont have to keep them in salt or brackish water, they thrive in full
fresh also.
