Mangrove snakes

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Very bad temper. I had to order a larger hook because these guys are pushing 7' and have a strike range of most their body. I was not expecting a 5' strike range and nearly got tagged while taking these pictures.

lol that was the first thing I learned about my mangrove to.... that strike range on them is much more than you would expect....
Love the yellow bands on those guys! gorgeous! But still love my black better :P

Arboreal snakes thats what they do, otherwise they would have trobble catching birds and other fast prey.

maybe. I prefer color and I was not about to turn down these two snakes for free.

oh of course not! I wouldn't either!! Be wary as well that they are surprisingly strong for such thin and delicate looking snakes.... I had a near escape with mine in the first couple days because I under estimated his strength.... never would have guessed a snake weighing less than 2 pounds would be able to lift a 20lb lid.... needless to see he has a much more secure lid now and we have not had any problems since

the lid is latching and locking per FL state law.
