Mangrove tank, whatcha think

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thanks, so actually thinking on getting 3-5. 3 in the beach area maybe 1 or 2 more in the water area with one of them being with just the roots in the water so it will make the root effect. Any idea's on how to hang a plant suspended in the air with just the roots touching the water?

Changed it up just a tad this weekend. Added more water and did some rock scaping. Have 6 Mangroves coming in this coming up weekend. Will give you pics once they are in. Water level seem good now?

Looks awsome. Great job.

awesome setup- seriously love it however I'm concerned about the long term effect of the sand bank having toxic buildup over time. is there any way you can add burrowing snails or some sort that can keep the sand aerated?

I stir the sand every week, but if you know of any burrowing snails that would work in brackish .008-.010 let me know. As for the Knight gobies, well I had one in there but they aren't very fast and well i caught one of my crabs eating him :( I wasn't very happy I love that little guy. I would like to have fish in the water area, just need some that don't lay around a lot like the Knight Gobies so the crabs cant catch em. Thanks for the compliments as well, I can't wait to add a few more mangroves.

nice!!
