Nice collection I use to had Peacock tree frogs do you breed thoese I had some big white tree frogs

gratz on the eggs, have you bred them before?

very nice, I hope they all hatch out alright.

Nice mantellas . Will you remove the eggs till they hatch?

I looked into Golden mantellas yrs back but the tiny live food thing was what made me opt not to and read Golden mantellas needed 68 to 72 max thus another problem.

The peacock tree frog I just got a few weeks ago. A guy bought them to sell on his table and did not have the means to take care of them if they did not sell.
They did not sell I brought them home to baby sit till the next show. But if they continue to do well I might just keep them :-)

Dang I forgot about white tree frogs. I have a 2.2 group and hope to add more.

This is the first time my Milos have bred for me. I am not holding out a whole lot of hope for the egg being the frist clutch but I do hope for many more to come.

I did remove the eggs right after the pics. They are currently in the dark, in the bathroom closet.

The tiny live food thing is actually very easy. I like their kind of food much better than crickets. Mantellas do need it a bit cool. Mine stay at about 70-72. Which works out ok since the whole frog soom stays at that temp.

These are my only mantellas but I am hoping to get some more in the future. i am starting to like them more and more.

What do you use fruit flies ,if so do you culture them yourself and how?

Thanks

My mantellas eat
fruit flies, bean beetles, roach nymphs, springtails, phoenix worms, pinheads.

I do culture the fruit flies my self.

I make my own media ( www.dartfrogdungeon.com)
1/2 cup media, 1/4 hot water 1/4 cup vinegar ( more or less to get to a runny mashed potatoe consistency) let it cool, Add a pinch of active yeast, some excelsior and add about 50-100 flies :-)

Culturing flies is really simple. Other than having to get the supplies to do it I have on had to but replacement flies 3 times in 5 years.

I also culture the bean beetles, springtails and roaches myself.
