can you give me his info or link to his sale?

thanks

It's not listed up for sale......

Use the search function, advanced search, search for threads by ShawnL then PM him. Or go to classifieds and search for a Leo/Hen pair for sale. I think that was the last thing he posted up.

Heres the 2 male Mantilla's i have ,from Brazil. The bottom one i had to lighten up the pic, just to be able to see his pattern, really dark boy.

not sure but most likely somewhere here the ? may have been asked on growth rate on these but noted that Johns only was about 2" in two years?
Is the motoro or marbles the same? I have not seen to many rays full grown other then when I was in Peru. The biggest moto I have seen in person at Akron zoo & she was HUGE! over 24"
Does growth rate slow any with environment/size tank? I know there are many variables because of diet, system, maintenance etc..

thanks

Are you thinking that you might be able to have one if it grows to the tanksize you have? Motoros get bigger then Marbles for some reason. There are many variables yes, and it could have to do with tank size, diet maintainance, but it could just as easely be the gens of the ray. Just like humans, we come in different sizes, lenghts, weights etc..

gotcha,
Well my tank is 72x36x28 so just thinking long term but I do have over 400 tanks in my main place. I also have some 48x48x24 tanks running, plus a 700 gallon round pond. I mainly raise cichlids etc.. so I do not plan on devoting all the resources to one pair of rays? I want to breed them for the experience & my six year old likes rays so he has interest in the hobby. Plus would like to sell the pups to make a couple bucks :) It may bring in some large tank setup sales with some customers wanting to keep them?
I'm thinking the Matilla or the Marble pair. But looking for something nice looking at the right price I'm willing to pay.
Kinda have the bug & itchy fingers to get something but I know I can wait until another Columbia order is available to me to bring in some direct but if I come across one or a pair now & are nice I would maybe jump on it?

thanks

Lots of variables effect growth rate which were already mentioned. My advice/opinion would be to go with a mantilla/hybrid pair. You will spend more up front but I dare you to go out and see who is breeding what and what is for sale. I have a good feeling you will find marbles but no mantilla types. So this raises the question of do you want to lead or follow LOL!

Since your thinking of doing this for a retail place ,with plans of selling in the future or to atract more customers.
I'd go with marbles right now ,just to see what may or may not sell, espeacially if you have limited experience with rays.
That female that i put up is very agressive and at 13" she'll beet those little 7.5" ones up for the food.
