I find mantis shrimp incredibly intriguing, I began to do research on them a few weeks ago.

Long story short, I realized that I've eaten mantis shrimp but did not know what they were at the time.

In China, Mantis shrimp (usually the zebra mantis I think) is served as food. It's called "Lai Liu Ha" which translates to "Pissing Prawn" or "Pissed Shrimp" (Pissed like when a child wets their bed).

ya sad and all that but was it any good

I would love to be able to start a mantis tank up. I would also love to eat a mantis shrimp. Best of both worlds. :D

those taste SOOO GOOD~~!!!. but if you think about it everything is food in some country.

Thats true...a lot of people dont know how good pacu is.

In asia they apparently keep our north american game and panfish...and we eat those. I have no problem with it. Only sad to see when harvest is non sustainable. Now that someone has vouched for them I REALLY want to eat one.
