I've had my sanchezi in a 100 gallon tall aquarium his entire life(14 years), in all reality 48" long tank is fine for a solo serrasalmus tank, unless it's a large 10" specimen or something. I've had my sanchezi since he was the size of a quarter he is now probably 7" he is 14 years old. I was sad pfury died but it lead me back to MFK so here I am lol

I personally have had 4 8in reds in my 75gal and they looked plenty comfortable. They even bred in the tank. I think a 10” maybe even 12” serra should have plenty of room in a 75gal all to himself. The question is if I go with a 75gal is more so of finding one that size.
