Manzanita ? is it worth it?

i personally dont really like manzanita's too branchy for my taste. unless they are stumps then i like them. and as someone said. they look nice for a few months/year after that they get like dark brown black losing that yellowish nice light brown color. and they are expensive for something u can get for free if you live by a forrest that has them. if you live by a forest its best to take a hike and get your own manzanita. or go looking for other type of hard woods and get your desire style. i like malaysian driftwood better especially the nice big ones that has nice shapes that looks natural and not cut. pm me, i might have a place u might like and cheaper then $135 for nice stumps

the piece i found online is a stump and looks like through manzman id pay about the same for a piece that big... looks like i have thinking to do, its just the shipping that kills me

Yeah, i think if you have access to some power tools it would make cutting it a lot easier... i tried cutting through a piece of Malaysian driftwood once with a hand hacksaw and all i can say is NEVER AGAIN... took me i don't know how many hours to get through the damn thing and my arms felt like they wanted to fall off after...

lol. a hacksaw is for plastic and metal, not wood! But as a wise man once said, "The wrong tool used properly works every time".

Yes i realized that, but being in Hong Kong at that time there was only a very limited choice of saws to choose from and they were all hacksaws sadly...
