I wouldnt worry about it, I bet he comes around soon. Unless he has a death wish no fish will starve themselves to death. I would be willing to bet that he is just settling in and its taking longer cause he's so big and had been in the same place for forever!

I had one for 5 years. Don't worry about what to feed them, they will eat anything that fits in their mouths. i would occasionally drop an earthworm or two on the other side of the tank and just watch those whiskers go to town. they will eat until they pop so be careful on the quantity of food you provide. i feed mine everyting from flake, to pleco algea discs, to dried and frozen blood worms, live earthworms, frozen krill, koi food... anything... and of course the occasional tank mate.
mine died 2 years ago and i'm desperate search of one but haven't been able to find one. let me know when you are willing to part with one. i have a 75g, 135g and a 300+ heated pond waiting for one.
or if you can point me in the right direction, i'd be most appreciative. (i'll def look on ebay...)

could i keep a marble sailfin catfish/achara catfish in a 125G. the person at my LFS said i could but when i went home to do some research on these before i bought it, it seems they get pretty big. He also said they'd get a max of 24" in a 125.
