Marble convict

Thanks for the comments everyone.

cichlovr, I've tried housing him with several different species, from firemouth to JD to female GT. (These were bigger tanks, of course.) He's so docile that he tends to get picked on, and I don't want his tail to be shredded. The only fish he's lived with long-term was a female con and then he beat her up pretty badly. I might get a red-tailed shark or something of that nature but no other cichlids. Oh, and he hates plecos too, so even though I love bristlenose plecs I can't add one.

fishluvr12, thanks. Yeah I've been looking for some large rock for a while, but none of the pet stores down here sell any. I was able to find some palm-sized river rock at a store in Ocala which I've added, but I'm still looking for some larger rock.

Thanks! And thanks for help with the video, I couldn't get it to embed correctly...
The trick is to highlight all of the text in the embedded code and click the "remove links" button

Any landscape supply should stock it in large piles.
I get the best rocks from local rivers. Just soak them in a bleach solutions and scrub them with a stiff brush, put in a tub with clean water and some prime and they are ready to go.

Have you tried anubis for a plant? It's low light and my little ca's don't mess with it much.
