I have 5 marbles that are a year old 3.5" to 4" and none have ever showed signs of reproducing. I thought they reproduced quickly. Any tips to get them producing?

should've reproduced by now. i've heard of smaller showing berries.

on a side note, anyone know any current sellers?

Got mine off aquabid, seller named cincicichlids.

Do some water changes, increase their hiding spots.
Sounds like they are all in the same tank. They will hold off a berry when things that can eat their young are around.Same note, when they do become free swimming, remove mom for minimal casualties.

That's who I got these off of. They were all in a 33gallon tank I moved them a month ago to a 50 gallon still no results. I have 2 15s and a 10 I'm going to put one in each to see if that works.

mine don't seem to stop berrying... i've even had small (give or take) 1 inchers berry recently...

I guess lots of hiding spots plays a big part in all this as well as food supply?

thank you

Oh yeah, make no mistake. Those "ladies" know there are others around...separate if possible.I keep mine in a 5 and a 2.5g!

You can raise the young together...but, separate some when they grow. They will all try to moult at the same time, so they can be venerable equally, and no armor-clad crays dismember them. Also, don't feed them to much to fast, they can grow too fat to moult with a mass die off ensuing. If you can get something going you can have perpetual food for anything you could feed a cray to.

I had 3 in a 30g for 11 months with no berries. I got tired of them and fed two to my puffer, the last one berried within a few days. I keep the temp between 74-76. Once they got going they didn't stop.

Maybe there not real self cloning crayfish. My marbled. Crayfish just released her younglast week. They are not hard to self clone. Just clean water and food. Makes them happy.
