This actually used to be easy... But now the Asian import gars (Lepisosteus sp.) are being called Marble gar , Marble-line gar and some other that I think goes like Marble redfin gar. Can't take the name as indicative of Boulengerella anymore.... and it sucks.....

im in asia and all the gar i find here are called spotteds.
never heard of marbled here.
