I'm the guy who purchased the pair from Pat (Amazon Stingrays). The female gave birth to one pup on Oct.25 and was knocked up right afterwards, which would put her at 90 days as of yesterday, and showing strong movement over the last 10 days.I'm anxious to see if this will be a larger litter...hopefully so!!

You definitely have to keep us updated;).

Like already mentioned i have a pair of very longterm captives which ive had for approx 10 years now, these have produced me 10 healthy pups over the last 3 years, the most at any one time was 3 pups and a single pup twice....i have pups due within the next 20 days, looks like two this time judging by her size and movement pattern.
The female is 17inches across the disc the male 13inches.

Friend of mine has marbleds which bred at around 12". The female is WC though.

Yes i can believe that, had some a while back, the female was pregnant at 12 inches straight from the wild. These recent very bold patterened Marbles that keep springing up recently are a completely different looking Marble sp than the ones i breed, they seem to mature at a much smaller size,i have a male with a 10inch disc that has huge claspers,i would love to know the exact locality of this type of Marble.....anybody know the river system?

Did Pat have them separated to be sure the male marble got her this time?

When I had my marbles, the female had 4 litters. The first was with a regular male motoro and the other 3 were with a marbled male. Each litter was a single pup. She started breeding at around 11".
They live in Iowa now. How is she doing?

Doing well. She's swelling up. Too early to tell if she is indeed prego, thanks to the fact she's in a pond that makes it really tough to tell... She'll be doing much better once I get the non Marble ogre ladies("Mantilla" and Jag) sold. Then the Marbles will be able to eat without being cloaked, bitten, and their food stolen. :( I was off on a tangent there for a while with the thought of hybrids but I know now that I need to stay focused on the Marbles. Having issues with the hornbag male pickin on the other males so he might have to go with the non Marble ladies if the lil prick doesn't change his ways.
