Marble Motoros

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I should have pups in the spring if all goes well and they should be some lookers based on the parents!

What's the reason? Looking for pups or wondering if there is a market for them? I had a nice mature male MM and it only fetched the same price as my regular motoros.

Everyone has a different idea as to what "nice" is and indeed you may have sold a good ray too cheap!

Mark my words "top" quality Marbles will soon be in demand..Why?..because now that black rays are more readily available means lots of us have them now including myself. So now its a case of what can i put in with my blacks to give me a nice contrast? Marbles are catching peoples eye now,its the first time since i started breeding them that i have more people wanting my pups than i will actually be able to satisfy, its the first time i haven't advertised them also.
Just look at the recent threads, there's some special Marbles out there, people are also intrigued by the thought that maybe there Marble ray isn't going to out grow their system, this is based on the many recent threads where aquarists are experiencing fully mature males between 8-10" disc and females producing young as small as 12".

I had a 8.5"er give birth here this summer but lost it a few months later.

I have a few pups, hoping for a few more soon. Hoping to see some pups from CBs soon.

I will always have Marbles, I like the fact I can actually feed and house them. Would rather keep a large group of Marbles then a couple blackies if the food bill and bio load are the same.

I totally agree... I keep Marbles and have noticed more demand in recent times.

The smaller breeding size of the MM hasn't caught on in Canada. The hybrids haven't caught on here either as you can buy nice leo/pearls or MM/pearls for cheap! You can buy 10" black rays or 12" Henlei here for under $800. If a person tries to post a black ray for $1000 he will be sitting on it forever. You can even get Pearls for under $300.

The only high priced ray here is the high quality Black diamond and the more rare or least imported rays like Boesemani or Xingu(snow leopard).

The market will always be different here in Canada!

I totally agree with u bro..
Marbles are blooming here in my country too..
I would rather keep 2 or three pairs of Marbles..
But i would still keep my blackies too..
I agree to tally with the contrast..
Its always good to have a community of Rays..
Even the Pearls are eye catchy too..
