Marble pupdate 38 days old....

Fact is fact. Anyone can take a chance on WC rays and probably get them a little cheaper. IMO captive bred are more hearty.
 
It's already been made obvious that at this point pups are worth more to me then they are to anyone else..... The whole goal here is to get things rolling and start producing some nice Marbles. Can't do it without nice stock, and nice stock means proven quality bloodlines, and generations of captive breeding.

I'm sure I'll be trading pups for a long time before any of them are just sold.

Luckily with all the work currently being done getting tanks up and properly out fitted, hopefully I'll be ready in the event i start having several preggo females. Before I had no room for pups, soon I'll have several tanks for them and several tanks to start pairing off adults to be sure who parents are and to give other females opportunity, cause right now the male only seems interested in one female, despite several nicer females being in the same tank.

The midgets, and other anti marbles are also showing signs of breeding so things could go from slow and steady to chaos in months if I'm not prepared..... 23 rays here, If I'm not mistaken counting these 2 pups only 5 rays are NOT mature, and there's tore up disks in all 3 adult tanks...... Fingers crossed!!! :)

Hard to fathom 18 mature rays and lots of torn discs. Im overwhelmed just having 14 pups at once. You're going to have to hire a nanny for all of those future pups.

Unfortunately chaos began when the mutts went into the big tank. Now the Pearl and the stud Marble are in a female wrecking competition. I only have 1 divider for the big tank and males need seperated from females. While I may trust the wolf with adult rays no way I'd trust a preggo female popping with that thing in there.... After seeing how miserable one of the Dorado is after going from the big tank to another tank I don't wanna have to do that to Dr wolfenstein, so need room, lots more of it, and it needs to be enough to house my bigger girls.

Been pretty busy building here since beginning of the year and still have another 6x3, 4x3, and pair of 180s to go up yet...... Just hope I get done before I reach the breaking point, which being only 1guy, is getting closer and closer everyday..... lol. Either gonna get it finished, and it works, or it doesn't work spawning a rediculous out of hobby sale, Or I'll get myself a nice white suit with buckles and a padded room to think things over in..... :ROFL::screwy:

Ah, come on!

The numbers high but I bet almost half aren't gonna break a foot, and I bet very few are even capable of 20+" I can feed the whole tank of midgets (half dozen) with the same amount of food my old big girl could throw down in one feeding. I'm just shy of 100 gallon/ray average and there's still probably another 600 gallons worth going up. Considering the food and space requirements of what's here I think I'm still OK...... OR maybe I'm still in denial? :cry: Chaos is right, IF it where all big rays it would be pure CHAOS, but since I'm so fond of the midgets I'm agreeing with controlled chaos..... Add to the fact the Marbles here average like 3 pups/litter I might still be OK...... Now IF work actually picks up, and I actually end up with several preggo rays I might be in trouble...... But after years and years of low to no production it's a problem I'd give about anything to have.
