Just got 10 marble cons...only an inch each! I am told they breed true, all the young I have seen for this pairing are marbled. If they are just a cross between a pink and a normal youd expect some normal fry in the brood...

I was about to post that picture myself. Then I kept scrolling and saw my fish! lol

I'd like to ultimately develop the line into one that produces fantastic females. I've seen some very plain female marbles, the foundation female I used was quite plain in comparison to her offspring but she had some good orange color so I'm hoping to keep that strong in her offspring.
Here's one of SMASH's kids, I call him BAM BAM.

I like the amount of blue/turquoise they throw but I'd still like more of that orange so that's what I'll be breeding for.
Oops I didn't read the part about not being your fish. I thought you was saying you obtained him off another site.
What site are you pulling those pics from?
I have a grey form calico as well that gets a really orange/red belly when spawning. I currently have her paired with a pink male that only has 2 spots on his head and they are rearing a small batch of 1/4" fry right now but only one is looking promising.

The shot MAC posted of SMASH is probably off cichlid madness. We both frequent the site.
