marbled crayfish question..experienced answer's please..

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Well, it's going to take some time to get used to the surroundings, and they will hide if they are too cramped from my experience- and then they start killing each other off. I have to move some out of my 40 breeder because they are too cramped.

IF they are berried, they will hide for the entire berried period from what I have observed.

Sounds like a good idea!

well none have berried yet..one just molted but i cant tell which one molted lol..iu checked all levels and everythings on point..any advice?

Just give them some time, and make sure you are giving them a variety of food.

I found that if I leave my water at a temp of about 74 they breed constantly.

i put all the crayfish in a 40G tank..i have 2 40g set ups..one for the adults and when babys are born and after a while will be transferd to the other 40g..i just released my baby largemouth bass..going to be upgrading to a bigger tank..

Awesome.

I'm thinking I'm gonna be selling all mine here soon.

Getting out of the hobby.

how come you getting out the hobby? and what should i feed the baby crayfish?

Feels like a chore more than a hobby.. and I'm not liking my electric bill ($360) which is now without tank heaters.. only gonna get higher.

I'm going to be keeping 3 tanks and the pond though.

As for what to feed. I feed them the same thing I feed the adults. As well as tropical flakes.
