Well, my 2 guys have been growing at at more or less steady rate (sorry no pics yet) with the larger pushing 4" and the smaller one probably around 3-3.5and much slimmer. Living in their temporary 30G grow out tank, each seems to stick to its own corner. They are like two boxers in the ring --whenever they meet in the middle, a bit of fighting takes place. I don't see any damage, and they don't seem to be actively pursuing one another but I was wondering: I know that they are solitary animals in nature. Do they grow less and less tolerant of counterspecifics as they mature? Considering their sendentary behavior, I don't see how they would openly seek confrontation but who knows...? I hope to be able to manage them in a 125G aquarium when they put on some size. Will they coexist or should I start considering which one to give up?

I don't know about cohabitation, but mine doesn't really actively seek out anything. I don't doubt however that they are territorial, and they will probably not work at 20" each in a 125 if they are already fighting at that size. Just my hypothesis.
i have had my marble goby for about 8 years now.my goby is very agressive.when i bought him i knew nothing about him.well had him with a oscar that he would try to eat when he was about 6inches long,the oscar was 5inches.The oscar had alot of missing scales.ever since he has had his own tanks.i worry every time i stick my hands in there,he has bit me once but didnt get a good grip.he attacks nets,the siphon house.this fish i used to be able to grab him and move during water changes.i don't think 2 in a tank will work,but i'm not for sure.
p.s.i feed mine baby mice,beef heart...they eat just about anything.

cool but my water cow 9(marbled goby) wasnt mean he wouldnt even eat live fish just frozen krill i think urs is just a ******* lol
How many years did it take for him to grow that big? I have a jade sleeper goby about 4 inches (i think) and he's a shy little fella, with tankmates black ghost knife and 3 senegal bichirs.
