Margaritifer

There are a few people keeping this species here in the UK. Until there can be some definite clarification as to whether it may be Margaritifer, or another species of Astatheros, (closely related to Robertsoni) these are being referred to as Astatheros Robertsoni 'Lancetilla' .

There are two excellent articles in the ACA's BB that I posted here on MFK a while back. More than likely the fish in question is some variant of Robertsoni.

I have a couple to, and they was sold me as Astatheros Margaritifer, but in fact they are Astatheros Robertsoni Red Cheel.
