I have a 3.3 gpa and want to study marine bio in college. Anyone know a good program in the southern US.

University of Rhode Island has a good program but it's not in the area your interested in.

Before you waste four years of your life and a ton of money, check to see what jobs are available with a degree in marine biology. Not the best choice of majors.
I've wanted to do this since I was a kid and can't see myself doing anything else.
But for jobs I want to work at an aquarium

There's thousands and thousands of us on this site and I'm sure majority of us would of loved to have that job but how many aquariums do u think there are in the U.S?....not really a job market for it.....with a 3.3 gpa you should be smart enough to get a job in a real market and make some $.....and splurge on big dream set ups as a hobbyist....

lol where were u guys when I majored in basket weaving with a minor in art history and philosophy? OP its ur life, if u still want to pursue this major knowing the job market upon graduating thats ur prerogative, but plz dont go protesting/complaining about student loans in the near future. I got a bachelors in biological sciences knowing there was not a high paying job market out there, BUT I could use this degree to pursue a PharmD which has a high paying job market. Do ur research, think carefully, and make a commitment on ur major.

Actually OP, have u ever thought of getting a degree in D?

Lol....I went for bus management with a minor in marketing......I still find this **** boring but can't complain......

What I'm trying to say is do what you love to do and makes you happy but make sure it pays the bills bc happiness doesn't pay for health care lol and like Tig Phish said don't get into debt lol

I think about becoming a vendor and opening up my own aquatic store all the time but am hesitant due to the fact that I know there is no market for it and I will prob only make 1/3 of what I make now.
