apparently these fish come up from the deep to spawn and on certain times of the year you will see heaps of babies just like the video migrating (probably deep down!).
awesome fish. there's a youtube clip where they have capture a big one and put it in japanese aquarium. looks awesome but looks like the fish is on it's last leg.
spent hours youtubing this fish. just amazing creature! also check the one about BP oil drill... you see a massive one and it's stunning! glows too!
ya these things are amazing but I think it would be near impossible to keep one sense you would have to pressurize your tank to replicate the pressure exerted on them in their natural environment.
