So why not edit your sentence to say some members of the Pima County Sheriffs Office can't be trusted.
Sorry if it offends you as a police officer, but I stand by what I said. I don't trust police and I highly dislike them. But that doesn't mean I'm going to go around disrespecting officers either. I do appreciate the good things they do. But I base my opinions on everything I've seen in the news, and my personal experiences. I'm not a criminal, and I've never been arrested in my life. And even then, I can't say that I've ever had a positive experience with an LEO. Every one I've dealt with has been a power-abusing scumbag that seems to enjoy verbally abusing and picking on defenseless civilians.
Because let's face it, we
are defenseless against you guys with your shiny gold badge. You simply cannot say or do anything in your defense. Everything has to be "yes sir, I'm sorry sir, you're right sir". Too many cops these days let their emotions take over on the job, i.e, anger. Yes, they're human too. But if your not capable of putting your personal emotions on hold while your perform your duty, choose another career. Piss them off and you'll end up face down on the pavement with guns drawn while they search your car all based on some horsecrap 'probable cause'. Sure, there might be some good cops out there, but I've yet to meet them. I have a few buddies I know in law enforcement, and I'm glad I'm friends with them. I'd hate to run into them on the street.
And for those that say the Marine got what he deserved because he was aiming a gun at police, I get that. And that is why I'm so against these raids. The cops are put into a position where if they see a gun, they have to open fire to defend themselves, and that isn't right. After all, they want to go home to their families. What about the innocent people that get killed in these raids? And the families they leave behind? And for crap's sake, the dogs that get shot? Even a caged dog in somebody's home is not immune to these trigger-happy tactical monkeys. The military's purpose is to kill and break things. What do you think is gonna happen when we militarize the police like we're doing?
In the video I posted that got deleted, a man was holding a golf club in the hallway. Six seconds after knocking on the door he was dead. They didn't even give him a chance to react. He didn't even charge. One shot to the head, two in the chest. And
then, after he's dead, the officer says "Get on the ground!"
And let's face it. Can anybody HONESTLY say that this Marine was trying to take on a SWAT team? They say he was in a crouched position holding the rifle. If he was really hellbent on go against the police, there would have been a pile of SWAT officers in the doorway. He would have picked them off one by one. This guy had done two tours in Iraq. He wasn't a novice around the M4 Carbine. I'm pretty sure it went like this:
- dude gets off work from a 12hr shift, is sleeping
- wife hears noises and see guys in the window, wakes husband up
- dude grabs his rifle, tells his wife and kid to go in the closet
- goes to the hallway and crouches by the doorway, points his gun at the door
- police bust in. dude realizes "oh crap it's the police!". never fires a shot. 71 bullets are sent his way.
- lies in the hallway, gasping for breath as his wife is dragged out of the house
