Looking for bio media for a trickle tower. Heard marine pure was awesome. I use to use, lava rock, plastic straws, bio balls, ceramic rings. I tried pot scrubbers but they collect to much detrius.
I use it in a submerged sump. I have a mix of Marine Pure, Bio Home, and Sera Siporax. Can't say I have any scientific evidence that one works better than another. But just visually, to me, the Marine Pure looks to have great surface area. With all that said, I replaced old cheap ceramic rings with all this high dollar media a few years ago and can't say I've seen any change in water quality lol.
Marinepure Blocks have tons pores psi I forgot what but it’s extremely porous, it looks cleaner have 2-3 blocks than a ton of rings, as far th Serra spirox goes its sinterred glass and highly absorbent. You need to YouTube the video of how it works stacked on top of each other, and from what i gathered it’s self cleaning as well.So what do you guys like about the Marine Pure and sera siporax pro ?
It's my go to stuff too.not sure this work in your application but I am a big fan o Seachem Matrix.
