Marine salwater question help

I know you don't want a skimmer but you should really look into getting one, there great for filtration and take out a lot of junk from your tank.

Ok thanks for feed back... in regards to scavenger clean up crew for uneaten foods at the bottom what can I get from a lfs

Completely depends on what your LFS carries, I know mine don't have a big selection. I ordered mine from reefcleaners.com and would highly recommend their quick crews. Word of warning though, John likes to throw in a lot of extras, I ordered the 28G cube crew since that's what I have and I ended up giving 2/3 of what I received to a friend for his 55G. Something around 20-30G crew would probably end up being enough for you.

sumps are the way to go with sw tanks - once you've been in this hobby for a few years your gonna understand how salt and lime build up on everything - most esp the small openings and lil impellers belonging to hobs + canisters
