Lol,thanks duanes, how do you have it set up?
There are 2 sumps on my 180 gal at the moment. On one set off to the side, tank water trickles thru some porret foam as a 1st stage mechanical, onto bio-balls and ceramic rings (some emersed some submerged, then past some ocean sea shells to add buffers, and a porous block (similar ro lava rock) that grows hair algae, lastly a couple sponges near the pump intake for polishing, and to keep out any other stuff from entering the pump.
There is also another sump connected to the 1st sump with two 1" lines, which contains a bio-rocker (never rocks, came with the tank) more rings and bio-balls, behind the tank.
I will at some point in the future add a protein skimmer, and an extra tank that will be much more heavily planted than the main tank.
