Marineland 300DD

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I hear their warranty is only good if you use their stand. I guess that would be the best route.... could always build one. The Monterey (I believe it is) looks nice. Im not buying yet, just thinking this is the route I want to go.
Yep that's correct. I bought the Monterrey stand too.

Are you overall happy with the purchase? Marineland also has some of the best customer service out there, THIS I KNOW.
to be honest I love the tank, had. Try minimal issue of "leaking" from the top corner where there was a really small gap where the glass lid rests on the plastic top piece right in the corner, where it was just condensation buildup and it went through the crack and down. (More annoying than an actual issue) and I had quite the pain in the ass back and forth with them about the glass lids!
When I got the tank the 3 glass lids were about 1/8" too WIDE so they didn't sit flat, one end was up cockeyed because it was too big for the space. They sent me new glass lids... and they were the exact same size, same issue. So I took exact measurements to the 32nd of an inch and told them.they sent me STOCK LIDS FOR A 150!! (Remember we're talking about a THREE HUNDRED GALLON!
At this point I was pissed off because it had been like 2 months and I asked the warehouse guy if I needed to get a one way flight to Ohio and go in their shop myself to use the ****in tape measure and cut the glass for them... and then I got the correct lids two days later.
Funny in retrospect but irritating lol

So far yes I am very happy with everything but it won't be filled with water and running til this weekend so I guess my opinion isn't the most thorough as of right now. But from everything so far am very pleased with it.

Go with marineland tanks but if you do make sure you buy their stand. Their warranty is amazing and they replace damage to the home as well. It's a long process but worth it if it ever does fail. They replace the tank as well as live stock value. Great service. A buddy of mine had a 180 fail years ago and they replaced his entire floor and the damage to the basement. The tank was replaced as well as the stand and they upgraded him to the canopy and he got the marinelend 300 gallon as an upgrade at a heavily discounted price. It's been 4 or so years now and still running great
