I will make a list based on my doublebright:
Pros:
-Looks great and natural. It does make the water shimmer.
Cons:
-Cost when compared to regular output T5s
-The lights only seem to cover a 1' wide area.
-A 24-36" lamp only lights up 24" across the tank and the last 6" on either size, gets very little light.
-No replacement lights.
Also the nightlight is practically useless. Don't expect it to do anything.
If you are looking for cheap lighting, normal output T5s are almost half the cost and produce more light. Or try some of the LED aquarium lights on ebay. If you get 6-7k lights they are the same as marineland's.
