Just stop feeding everything else and only feed shrimp until all the rays in the tank will eat it. Eventually, all your rays will know thats the only thing they're going to get and just start vacumming peices up before they hit the bottom.

I agree that is answers all of the thread.

I have looked after peoples cats before and they say they are "picky"...after a few days of only offering one food they soon learn. Aquaman told me to only feed worms after pellets that way they only get the treat at the end.

thaks guys.. I knew that you could not feed them for a few days and then try. But I just couldnt ever get them to do it. I put the shrimp on my DIY food, so they still get them in away, but would liek to from time to time just give them shrimp..
I have aro's in each one of my large tanks and one are wont eat it either. So hopfully Ill get him to start eating by doung the same thing..lol

I just started my rays on shrimp since there is so much now around the holiday season left over haha. cut it up extra small they sometimes take it.

well I will just not feed them for two days, then start feeding MS.
Ive tried this before, but we will see what happens this time. Id like to use as a snack when I get low on ghost shrimp. They love ghost shrimp, but they dont breed and grow as fast as I always feed them. So alot of times, they may not get their snack.. lol

instead of just starving them with nothing for 2 days then trying to put the shrimp in just put the shrimp in and nothing else for a few days. the male will eat some and soon the others will follow. just net out everything they dont eat after about an hour. you might not get them all on it but one or two more at a time by doing this works fine. eventually they will all take to it.

Maybe a little garlic and spices cooked in a frying pan on medium heat with a tad of butter. That should get them hooked...no j/k

Feed uncooked shrimp. It's the best for them. That's what I feed my rays and they enjoy it. Depends on where you get it the shrimp can be a cheap food source for you and the fish!

i have a female that does same thing, she only likes worms. so i would give it to her for a while, once see what stable an fat. i stoped feeding worms. an would only toss in shrimp, silvers and the other two motoro would eat it but not here, a few days later she still wouldnt, but she started eating alage on my skull i have in tank an munching on plants. another ? is sand crabs or oysters from store ok to feed them.

well Ive been just putting shrimp in. She still will not touch it, but Ill be doing it for a few more days, figured if she got hungry enough, she will finally do it..

USMC, Ive never tried sand crabs or oysters, but I know scallops work well also.
