Marm not feeling well

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Never even considered doing it with a syringe. When I said I gut load them I meant that I feed the feeders heavily with prepared foods high vitamins before feeding them to the PREDATORS.

Yeah, thats what i figured you meant. I'm not sure if the helpful properties of the garlic will carry over that way though, which is why i was saying you should manually gutload them yourself.

treat for internal parasites, try raising the temp...and just keep it calm..try feeding him garlic that helps disease..

garlic is also supposed to be a feedin inducer! if it works i dont know! but shouldnt hurt! there are a lot of ways to ween fish off!

i just read one that sounded very good!

he has the fish come to the surface and drops the feeder in and keeps doing it until it stops! and it should be hitting it right when it hits the water! then after a while you can do some feeders then krill feeder etc! and after a while maybe just krill and a better staple!

this is what i do to frozen shiners for my fish i stuff them with hikari or other staples! but since they are floating pellets i add one big sinking pellet as a plug!

My marm is doing much better. I put him in my 125 3 days ago, after he ate some. Once in there he hid for a couple of days and started coming out a little at a time. He ate a couple of feeders.
Today when I came home I notice its belly bulging like it was
going to bust. So I looked around and noticed that 3 Australian rainbows were missing.
Now these rainbows were at least 2-2.5" long and 3/4 of inch tall and he ate them all.
Definitely doing much better.:)

Aweeeesome!! Definately helpin itself to the 'free' food eh? haha! Gonna be an awesome fish!! Jealous am i!

Its kinda funny that they got eaten. The day before I told my sister
in law that she could have them cuz I figured that the marm was doing
much better and I knew that they would not last. So within 24 hrs they were consumed.
I started out with six of them as target fish and my other cichlids killed and ate them, all I found was rib cages.

Rainbows aren't exactly the best of dithers...haha. They are fast, but way too eatable. Giant danios are way less expensive, so its not as painful to see them get eaten!! ;)
