married people i need your help

hey guys, i havent been on here in awhile. but i could really use your guys help im doing a project for my language arts class on married couples. this is what i need

*2 people who have been married for 3-5 years
*1 person who has been married for 6-10 years
*1 who has been married 11-15 years
*1 who has been married longer then 15 years

these are the questions(note: i will not use your name just a pseudonym of you chosing)

1. how did you and your spouse meet, what was going through your head

2. what is your favirote thing about this person

3. least favirote thing?

4.if you have kids have they made things harder?

5. what do you guys do for fun just you two(school safe answer:naughty:)

6. does you spouse feel the same way about fish as you do?

7. how do you make tough descicions together

8. who spends more money, why?

9. who pays the bills, and why(math part)

10. if your spouse decided to make a large change to your family would you support him or her? why?

My current wife and I fall into the 6 to 10 bracket.



1. how did you and your spouse meet, what was going through your head

My wife and I met on line and were friends for many years before my divorce.

2. what is your favirote thing about this person

Her Honesty and down to earth manor.

3. least favirote thing?

She can be a bit hard headed at times.

4.if you have kids have they made things harder?

We each have kids of our own and yes they have all complicated things at one time or another.

5. what do you guys do for fun just you two(school safe answer:naughty:)

Cook...Watch movies in bed....Go camping...We both love vegas and go at least once a year.

6. does you spouse feel the same way about fish as you do?

Yes she does. In fact most of the fish we have now are hers.

7. how do you make tough descicions together

If I'm handy she asks me...if not she just does what she thinks is best.

8. who spends more money, why?

Other than our fish and the occasional DVD to add to the collection niether one of us spend a lot of money.

9. who pays the bills, and why(math part)

She does.... I have a lot of varied and wonderful tallents...accounting is NOT one of them.

10. if your spouse decided to make a large change to your family would you support him or her? why?

Yes...in fact she came up with a project that we're working towords at the moment.

Met through an ad in the newspaper. He had a special needs child, I was just separated and bored.

2. what is your favirote thing about this person
Everything. He says he loves me at least 3 times a day.

3. least favirote thing?
He smokes - I am allergic.

He had 1, I had 2. They made life interesting, not hard.

We shoot together, play fish together, woodworking (I love power tools)

6. does you spouse feel the same way about fish as you do?
Yep. He wants them, I buy and take care of them. He feeds them.

7. how do you make tough descicions together
I tell him how it's gonna be.

8. who spends more money, why?
Well I spend more, cause I pay the bills. Do you mean for fun? That would be the hubby. He likes pricey guns.

9. who pays the bills, and why(math part)
I pay the bills. He would let the phone and power get shut off if it meant he could by another big gun.

10. if your spouse decided to make a large change to your family would you support him or her? why?
Absolutely. Like the puppy that turned into 5 puppies? The motorhome that magically appeared? The 2 cute birds at the flea market that turned into 50? Or do you mean when I said I bought a new house, better pack?
 
I amin the 3-5 year range

Were at the same night club..(she dances i drink) I was a nervous wreck becuase a friend of hers asked me to go dance with her (she dances i drink) haha but i did and it sparked a great relationship.

2. what is your favirote thing about this person
Many things...but most favorite thing is the great mother she is to our 2 kids!

3. least favirote thing?
Likes to re-arrange the house on a monthly basis, i can never find stuff.

4.if you have kids have they made things harder?
the money got tight at first but over the years we have gotten used to it. and there is a certain ammount of stress that comes with kids but it is worth it.

5. what do you guys do for fun just you two(school safe answer:naughty:)
camp/concerts/busch gardens/out of town trips on the weekend/we live about 15 mins from the beach too

6. does you spouse feel the same way about fish as you do?
she is close...i like to go bigger all the time and she likes to keep it simple but 3 of the fish in our tank now are hers

7. how do you make tough descicions together
sit down and go over all possibilites long and short term. we learned from out mistakes

8. who spends more money, why?
that is a close call. i would say that i do a bit more cause i do the grocery shopping and get carried away

9. who pays the bills, and why(math part)
all bills come from my check and her check is for spending/saving/fun

10. if your spouse decided to make a large change to your family would you support him or her? why?
if it benefits us then yes, if it was going to put us in a bad spot or make us go broke then no.

We've been married just over 11 years.

Met on a blind date, through my married neighbors in the apartment building where I lived. The wife of my neighbor worked for my future wife at the time. When we first met, she was thinking "I'm glad he isn't like the neighbors". I was thinking "I'm glad she isn't like the neighbors".

2. what is your favirote thing about this person

She takes good care of me, is caring, and has lots of love.

3. least favirote thing?

She is a bit hard-headed and has a short fuse at times. We are opposites.

4.if you have kids have they made things harder?

No kids yet.

5. what do you guys do for fun just you two(school safe answer)

Play with the dogs, go to the movies, bike ride, snowshoe.

6. does you spouse feel the same way about fish as you do?

Ah, no.

7. how do you make tough descicions together

Sit down and talk through it. List the good things and bad things. Make a rational decision before jumping in.

8. who spends more money, why?

Neither of us really spends much. Sometimes my aquarium or fishing expenses out weigh the things she buys.


9. who pays the bills, and why(math part)

I pay the mortgage, heating oil, vehicle repairs, and usually groceries. She pays utilities, her car payment, cable, and cell phone. In the end, it works out to be about 50/50.

10. if your spouse decided to make a large change to your family would you support him or her? why?

Most likely it would be a joint decision. We know each other well enough.
