So I was looking at diffrent rock tonight, fiji, tonga, caribbean and marshall. I am going to be useing this rock for a FOWLR display tank so naturally I would like to get some good looking rock to go in it. So is Marshall really worth it or would I be paying for the name when there is other equally nice rock out there that is not so expensive?

I think what is boils down to is porosity of the rock, which is important to some degree, with Fiji, Tongan, and Marshall Islands rock all being fine in my books.

I have heard that Marshall is the best, but I dont believe its going to be so much better than it would have any noticeable impact. I would go with Fiji or Tongan, which ever is cheaper if you want to spring for premium live rock.

If you are thinking about buying Caribbean, just save yourself some cash and buy lace or base rock. Caribbean rock is pretty dense stuff.
