I generally shut my eyes, turn my head, and slap like a girl.
It's pretty much 0% effective.

I've got several. My cutting sword is a custom forged blade with antique fittings that I bought from a dealer friend in Japan. Don't ask me what it cost...you really don't want to know.
Try me... :D I've had my fair share of expensive swords.

Some sword pics would be awesome!

I might be able to get a couple pics to post up if i remember to take my camera home from work. As for cost it was over $2000. I've also got a collection of antique Tsubas and am working on getting a supplier for antique katanas.

Antique katanas are a touchy area. Most are world war I/II trophies, or are the real thing. You should check out Rob Criswell's katanas, they are very good for the money. Unfortunately with quality katanas $2000 is just scratching the surface.

To qualify that price I suppose I should have mentioned that was just the blade itself. No fittings or anything as I wanted to use some of the vintage pieces I already had.

pa kua, kyoshu jitsu, taichuan wudang style and weapons form, masai sword and sword/spear/shield fightingn, european fencing, aikido, kendo, and the best of all the 'do's, chado

I've done some Japanese jiu jitsu, some bjj, and (my favorite) muay thai under Coban. I haven't had any fights yet, but I'm hoping that within the next year or so I have a muay thai and maybe an mma fight... gotta toughin up my shins a little more first though.
