I agree that the females should be "fatter" in the belly region, but as already stated, these fish are too youg to go further.
Even with the easier sexable species its sometimes a Problem.
I thougt my female sp. Assam could be male (60%male 40%female) until the first breeding and egg feeding I knew for sure.

I agree the literature is very poor, and .org only had descriptions of the fish itself without describing any sexual characteristics between male and female specimen. Thanks for the insight its always appreciated.
