Picked up my first Arowana a month ago now I think. I was housing in a 60g cube (24in) but have moved it into a 115g (50in x 24in x 24in).

I was trying to feed the new Guianacura fry some flake food. I dipped my fingers into the tank to break up the flakes and Mary Jane nailed me. She let go pretty quick but continued circling the area and acted like she would attack my fingers anytime I got close to the waters surface.
If I understand the sexing of arowanas the female has pectoral fins closer to the anus. But, needs to be closer to 18in. She's over 12in now based on tanks is 24in wide.
Nevermind, that first ignorant statement in post #7. Males have the pectorals closer to the anus.
Relocated the FX6 to the right side of the 220g so it's not the first thing in view when entering the fish room. Mary Jane is also in the 220g now as the possibility of her eating one of the Guianacara sp especially the female could have happened. Also, gives the fry a better chance of survival.
