The "war" between we recreational fisherman shouldering the brunt of the blame for the commercial industries catostrophic effect on the various fisheries has been going on for MANY DECADES. The utter disdain between residential and commercial is nothing new, I guess I am introducing this forum to a silent "war" that has been being fought since greed for money has ruined the entire fishery.
Here is a link to a "buyout" plan for the Maryland Striped Bass fishing industry!

I was refering to the commercial fishing of striped bass in MD, well aware where it is legal and illegal.
The buyout plan you talk about was just a survey, not a "plan."
Gliebig, that is a nice striper.
As Ms MassPoly stated, we are in for some lousy striper fishing in the coming years. Here in Maine, the fishing has been declining for 4 years.

I only fish weekdays, so it's not to crowded when I'm out there. Besides, that's the chesapeake bay bridge tunnel.
