I have a 400 gallon 8x4x20''. Someone in the tank is going on a killing spree. In the last month I have lost both flowerhorns, my royal clown knife and my thin bar datnoid. does anyone know who could be the killer? Water quality is perfect. These fish are just getting beat up over night. My guess is the bass or the ornate. stock is as follows

2 silver arowanas 30"

black arow 26"

marble motoro 18"

3 indo dats9-10''

thin bar dat-11" DEAD

1 peacock 11"

royal clwn knife 19" DEAD

florida gar 20"

ornate bicher 17"

2 fire eels 30-34"

fei fieng 8"

2 flower horns13-12" BOTH DEAD

2 severums 8".

my gar seems so docile and he would be one of the last fish I would expect to be the aggressor. Unless gars get crazy during the night I would rule him out.

My ornate was attacking things at night. Most of the damage was to the lower finnage of the victims.

Hmm I doubt it was the gar. FL's are so mellow (mine anyways) they are like floating logs. I would say one of the arows? Just a guess though.

i just know my one eyed false gar is vicious at times.. so who do you suspect..? i do see that my silver arow who is 8 years old is lately attacking my adonis.. showing aggressiveness i did not know he had in him..

It could be he used to hid out all the time. He put on alot of size and he has been all over the tank and would pick on my eels. The only thing is most of the fish I have lost have been mid level fish. my bass is getting bigger and more aggressive. he has shown aggression towards the dats and cichlids before and even my knife.. but no real evidence.
