MASSIVE Arapaima, Manatee, and RTC tank!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I believe that DWA still have some of the biggest Pacu in the world, some of them are over 3 feet long!

Yeah man there were some massive Pacu there. Wish I would have taken more pictures of them

What camera did you use?
The camera on my Samsung Galaxy S2

Did you see the Asian arowana in the pond up the ramp to the entrance. I wish they kept the aro in the planted aquarium like they did in past.

DWA is awesome. Some of the best displays I've seen in public aquaria. They also have a huge tank with Discus and tetras, saltwater tanks with cuttlefish and chain mail butterfly fish......love that place.

When I first started Asian Aros there, it was a USFW grab as a black market animal. We put it in the planted tank because it was the best option while the fish was still physical evidence in a federal case. The idea that keeps DWA ahead of every other place is that it's replicating nature 100%. You'd never find an Asian Aro in a South American planted area. Guests liked the fish so much that the decision was made to build something specifically for the Asian freshwater environment. When Mundo Maya was designed, the entry way pools seemed like the best option.

No I didn't see the Asian Aro. Now I'm bummed, guess I will have to go back......
at the entry way you walk up, look at those ponds and you can see a RTG, a super red and a jardini with some ID shark. I think the RTG and super red are in the same pond while the Jardini in a separated pond.
