massive problem

4 out of 6 loaches dead clown

day before left town saw ick treated and gave mom direction how to treat

sodium chloride
Malachite green

did this for 3 days (via directions)

came home 3 dead

also my jewels have clouded eyes i treated with

victoria green and aciflavine this was on day 4

now on day 5 1 more is dead looked perfect

water is at 78
the other water qualitys i don't know due to the fact that the water is a vivid green

what is happening and should i feel bad or are clown loaches that finicky.

maybe you and/or your mom overdid it on the medications. loaches are very easy to overmedicate

to treat ick simply turn temp up to 85. ick stops breeding at that temp. dose with salt and wc daily.
if it dosent get any better turn temp up to 89 i believe ick dies at that temp. but if you wish to medicate use quick cure at half strength. no need to get crazy with the meds tho.
cloudy eyes? try rinsing out your filters in some tank water and do 50% wc. should see improvement in a day or three

loaches are staying near the top and the jewels are laying on the bottom (on belly NOT side)

ok add carbon to your filters when you clean them to remove all meds from tank. do water change, add salt and bump the temp. salt is your best friend here not meds.

Dude, i slowly raised the temp to 91° F for ich, be sure to use Canning and Pickling salt, it's the cleanest - you don't want to use tank salt. Lots of water changes like the man said. If that doesn't help; see if your local store has something with garlic in it that is all natural. Ich hates garlic.

if your tem is that hi leave top open and get as much surface movement as you can as ther will be very little oxegen in da water at that temp
