You're way overfeeding. Slow it down and only feed what the fish will eat for that feeding. If they don't eat some of the pellets, take them out. I think pretty much any pellets will muck up the water, if you leave them in there for days they simply dissolve. Some maybe worse about it than others.
Thanks for the replies. I know I might be overfeeding, but I notice that once I drop pellets into the tank, I see red dust particles from the pellets start to dissolve into the water even before the fish can touch them. Usually when I drop pellets in, one or two will hit the bottom of the tank, but it's snapped up pretty quickly by one of my silver dollars.
