I picked myself up a back of hikari massivore delite today. I've read a lot about fish food on here and didn't want to post a thread about food but... do you guys think massivore is the best cichlid food available? or is NLS better?

I may be wrong, but I believe that Massivore is specifically designed for carnivores while NLS is formulated to provide nutrition for a wide range of fish. Most people that I know that use Massivore don't use it as a staple, but as a part of a diet of good pellets. Everyone has different feeding techniques though.
well i try to keep a varied diet so i have some NLS and the massivore i just got plus i feed them super carnivore frozen fish food. and night crawlers. and they eat everything readily
Massivore is great if you want to bulk up your fish. NLS is probably better for color. I personally feed my Peacock bass a mixture of hikari aro sticks, bio gold +, cichlid gold, and fd krill. I feed massivore as a snack every other day.
Well honestly i'm happy to hear that. I don't think i could afford to feed massivore as a staple... its too expensive.
i tend to use it as a mostly stable food for my centrals, cats and knife. Its decent food and fish readily take it while NLS seems to be hit or miss on which fish will eat it.
well my fish all eat the NLS. and anything else that comes near the water (including my fingers).
Aro sticks are just expensively packaged massivore. Same with carnivore pellets, all the same just different shapeChizzle;5114988; said:

and if you buy the massivore in the 2.2lb bags you can get it for 45-75 and depending on the amount and size could last you a year.
