What a cruel world we live in. The guy's just proud of his fish. Note...it's his very first post also.

Agreed...The name "Master Piece" when it comes to flowerhorns is a just marketing tool to sell the fish imo. Some may deserve it, some don't. It seems nowadays, any flowerhorn with gd color and a descent sized head has the potential to be called this by some flowerhorn sellers to jack up the price a bit. Guessing the op didn't just come up with that name, but i could be wrong. He's a sharp looking flowerhorn anyhow

I would say that masterpiece just a marketing tool it is used to describe a fish that has line bred to perfection for example pearls cover kok and face anel and dorsal extend past caudal no deformities large kok size for example a masterpiece thai silk has no gap on its head where his or her pearl doesn't reach on most thai silk and body shape is emaculant

Maybe just explaining it to me might be more informative cause when I google masterpiece flowerhorn a whole bunch of videos pop up. I looked at a bunch of them and some SRD masterpieces have gigantic heads, some have just large heads. Some have full head pearls, some just have a few head pearls and some don't have any at all. Some have insane body & fin pearling, some just average...And once again, these are all called "MASTERPIECES"....Same goes with many of the kamfas..This name or slogan seems a bit generic at times..thank you

Surely you can't be serious when a artist paints a painting and calls it his masterpiece it means that he has created the most perfect work of art he could ever possibly create well a masterpiece is not a type nor strain or body style of flowerhorn it is a grade of flowerhorn out of a batch of fry from numerous generations the top of its class it is a marketing tool in a way for a nyeve person but like for instance your not going to be fooled when by a flowerhorn that is called a thai silk but has broken pearls but anyways another way to tell without even knowing what the fish looks like is what type of masterpiece is it is it red texas ,kamfa , kingkamfa , thai silk what if it just says that it is a masterpiece flowerhorns odds are it isnt a masterpiece depends on what characteristics of the strain are perfected is the deciding factor on whether or not it is a masterpiece which should be common sense given you more than likely research what you are looking for or at buying
