Mata mata with rays and aro's?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I can see a real big Mata inhaling an aro (well the front part anyways), they are rather thin. My personal experience with turtles and fish wasn't good. My Fly River mauls any large slow fish (knives, aros, rays, etc). He can only be kept with community fish like rainbows, gouramis, etc. Only turtle I've had get along well with fish is an Indonesian Snakeneck.

You serious? My indonesian snakenecks will tag anything, including themselves.

What fish did you keep with them? I'm really interested, I might want to try it in the future.

Anthing bigger than it that wasn't too nippy; eels, knives, South Am. lungfish. Only thing he really goes after is gar (fins anyway).

rays might drown the turtle.... there is no way i would risk it... too many things can go wrong.... and your seriously flowing 500 gallons per day through a RO and doing a 100% water change?
